World Super Swirl Removers
Glazes, waxes and other finishing
compounds can often help to hide imperfections in the paint such as
swirls and minor scratches, but a proper abrasive is necessary to remove
or reduce these flaws so that a truly deep gloss can be attained.The
Poorboy's World line of Swirl Removing products are renowned for their
versatility, quality and value. SSR products can be used by hand, when
correcting minor swirls and scratches in a small area, but are most
effective when used with a machine polisher. SSR is thick enough to be
used with a rotary, but can also be properly broken down with a random
orbital machine such as the Cyclo or Porter Cable. The formula is also
resistant to premature breakdown in full sun, unless the surface being
worked on is too hot to touch for 3-5 seconds.
Four grades of polishing compounds are available so that the detailer
can select the proper level of abrasiveness for the application,
depending on the level of correction needed and the hardness of the
finish. It is safest to start with the lightest abrasive/pad combination
and work up to heavier compounds if the abrasive is unable to achieve
the desired results on the surface.

|  Poorboy's World SSR1SSR1
Light Abrasive is the lightest swirl remover in Poorboy’s product line.
It is a fine finishing polish to achieve the highest reflectivity and
optical clarity. This can be used more frequently to maintain a glossy
appearance, remove oxidation, or previous applications of waxes and
sealants on finishes that are in excellent condition.

 Poorboy's World SSR2.5A
true one-step polishing compound, SSR2.5 is tough enough to remove
moderate swirls and small scratches, while leaving the surface glossy
without hazing or micromarring when used with a moderate polishing pad
such as a white LC pad. When used with a heavier pad, a followup
application with a white pad and SSR1 is recommended.

 Poorboy's World SSR3SSR3
Heavy Duty Compound is the heaviest compound in the Poorboy’s line and
is able to remove swirls, scratches, oxidation, overspray and westanding
marks when used with a yellow heavy foam pad or a wool pad on a rotary.
Some hazing or micromarring may be visible after Heavy Duty Compound.
This can easily be removed with one of Poorboy’s light abrasives.
Detailing Guru’s recommends that SSR3 is only used for major paint
correction and not periodic polishing, as it is possible to thin the
vehicles clear coat protective layer after frequent use.
