Premium Microfiber Towels

A MicroFiber Towel is far superior to a standard Cotton Towel for cleaning, drying and buffing. The microscopic, lightweight fibers (twice as fine as silk and 100 times finer than a human hair) do a better job at cleaning a surface by removing contaminants rather than smearing them. Due to lack of regulation, a great deal of detailing towels are sold as "MicroFiber" but do not perform as well as they should.

Most MicroFiber towels are made of a Polyester and Polyamide blend. Polyester is a plastic, and even though it may feel soft to the touch, it can scratch the paint if it is not spun in the appropriate dimensions and density. A good microfiber towel with fine split fibers will not mar a CD when wiped across its surface. The Polyamide portion of the blend is a more expensive material, because of this, most low-cost microfiber towels found at auto parts stores contain little Polyamide and are more suited as a polishing towel or glass cleaning towel due to their abrasive properties.
