Foam
pads are used in conjunction with polishing compounds such as
Poorboy’s World line of SSR Swirl Removers. Together, the foam
pad and polishing compound is able to remove fine swirls and
reduce the appearance of scratches by “blending” sharp edges,
making them less reflective and thereby less visible to the eye.
Lake Country CCS pads are a revolutionary new design that
helps to eliminate a common problem inherent with foam pads –
absorption. Open cell foam, as used in polishing pads, quickly
absorbs the polishing compound.
This leaves the surface unlubricated and subject to the
full abrasive power of the polishing pad, which can cause the
pad to skip
and
cause marring in the finish. The conventional method for dealing
with this
problem
has been to simply utilize more product to ensure proper
lubrication and maximum gloss. CCS pads reduce absorption with
partially closed cells on the surface of the pad that help trap
polishing compounds and ensure even dispersion onto the working
surface. This gives the detailer more working time before the
compound is absorbed or broken down, reduces product utilization
and maximizes coverage.

Yellow Cutting Foam - Use
this pad to apply compounds or polishes to remove severe oxidation,
swirls, and scratches. It is the most aggressive and should only be
used on oxidized and older finishes. Always follow this pad with an
orange pad and a fine polish and then a white pad to refine the
paint until it is smooth. |
 |
Orange Light Cutting Foam -
Firm, high density foam for scratch and defect removal. Use this pad
with polishes and swirl removers. Its an all around pad that will
work on most light to moderate imperfections. |
 |
Green Heavy Polishing Foam -
Use this foam to apply one-step cleaner waxes. It is a balance of
polishing and finishing that is perfect for all-in-one product
application. |
 |
White Polishing Foam - Less
dense foam formula for the application of waxes, micro-fine polishes
and sealants. This pad has very light cutting power so its perfect
for pre-wax cleaners. |
 |
Black Finessing Foam -
Composition is firm enough to withstand added pressure during final
finishing to remove buffer swirls. It has no cut and will apply
thin, even coats of waxes, sealants, and glazes. |
 |
Blue Finishing Foam -
Flat pad has soft composition for applying glaze, finishing polish,
sealants, and liquid waxes. Flat pad provides full contact with
paint surface to minimize the pressure applied by the user. |
