GuruGlaze High Performance Acrylic Glaze

GuruGlaze hides light swirls and scratches and produces an unmatched show car shine.

GuruGlaze is a an acrylic polymer sealant similar to the DetailingGurus Performance Sealant and Performance Sealant Booster, but with greater "filling properties", resulting in unparalleled gloss that is deep and rich. It is ideally used directly after the car has been polished and is perfectly clean, but can also be used in-between full details (with some careful preparation) in order to hide the inevitable swirls and imperfections realized in a car that might see daily use on the road.

GuruGlaze is a wipe-on / wipe-off product that can be applied by hand, or with an orbital machine or buffer. It can be topped with a Sealant or quality wax such as GuruWax to improve the longevity and increase the depth of the gloss to amazing levels! On a freshly polished surface, one coat is adequate, but when used as an interim product to hide swirls until the next polish, we recommend layering 2 or more coats to achieving that unparalleled wet look that is highly sought after.

GuruGlaze Application Instructions:

  1. Using a MicroFiber cloth or applicator pad, spread a small amount of GuruGlaze over a 1 foot by 2 foot area. A thin coat is all that is needed.
  2. Allow to dry to a light haze (10-30 minutes) and the use a clean, ultra-soft MicroFiber towel, spread the glaze evenly with front-to-back motion on horizontal panels and a top-to-bottom motion to achieve maximum reflectivity. You can generally apply GuruGlaze to the entire car and then immediately begin buffing.
  3. You may need to flip the MicroFiber towel to a clean side to buff the surface in order to achieve the highest degree of shine. Do not use heavy pressure, but check the paint from various angles to ensure the glaze is uniform and glossy.
  4. Finish with a high quality Carnauba Wax such as GuruWax or a Sealant.

They key to achieving that wet-look shine with GuruGlaze is preparation. If the car is freshly polished, an Isopropyl Alcohol wipedown will prepare the surface for maximum bonding strength of the acrylic polymers to the clear coat. If the car is in between details, a tar & wax remover such as Prepsol (Prepall, Solvent, etc.) can be used to clean the paint and improve adhesion to the paint.
